Carla do Espírito Santo é licenciada em Português-Inglês (Ensino de), é Mestre em Teoria da Literatura e Doutora em Literatura Portuguesa/Literatura para a Infância, com a dissertação. Professora Adjunta do Departamento de Português da Escola Superior de Educação do Instituto Politécnico de Bragança, integra a Direção da Academia de Letras de Trás-os-Montes e é autora da obra: A mundividência infantil na obra de Guerra Junqueiro e coautora do romance Terra d’Encontros, integrando as coletâneas: Vozes Trasmontanas, Rostos de Terra e Gentes e Lugares-contos e contas de autores trasmontanos.
