Elvira Carla da Silva Oliveira Corceiro nasceu na cidade do Porto em julho de 1972. Estudou Geologia na Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto e veio para Lisboa em 1996, para a Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, onde terminou a Licenciatura em Biologia e Geologia - Variante de Geologia. Frequentou o Curso de Mestrado em Ciências da Terra e da Vida para o Ensino e defendeu a dissertação com o tema "Sistema Imunitário e Saúde Pública" na mesma faculdade. Foi-lhe atribuído o Grau de Mestre em março de 2006. É professora do grupo de Biologia e Geologia desde 1999. Escreveu o livro infantil "Rosinha, o Grão de Areia" em 2020 e colaborou em 4 Antologias.
