A autora C. M. Cruz nasceu em São Paulo em Janeiro de 1990, onde passou parte da sua infância. Foi em 2001, quando completou 11 anos, que veio para Portugal, juntamente com seus pais e irmão.
Hoje, é licenciada em marketing, mestre em marketing relacional e trabalha numa empresa, onde exerce as funções para qual estudou.
Desde cedo, mostrou o gosto pela leitura, mas foi apenas em 2016 que tomou o gosto pela escrita e se aventurou no seu primeiro romance: Promete-me.
