C. J. Sansom

C. J. Sansom was born in 1952 and graduated from the University of Birmingham, where he also earned a doctorate in history. He practiced law for a time before deciding to dedicate himself to writing full-time.
With the Shardlake series, he achieved resounding international success, and the volumes have already been published in Portugal. Dissolution, Black Fire, Sovereign and Revelation (Porto Editora, 2010).
Winter in Madrid, also published by Porto Editora, is a thriller A spy novel written outside of the Shardlake series.
