Brian Wansink é natural de Iowa (EUA) e fez o seu doutoramento na Universidade de Stanford. É Professor de Comportamento do Consumidor na Universidade de Cornell, onde também dirige o Laboratório de Alimentos e Marcas. Autor de três livros técnicos sobre alimentação e comportamento do consumidor, vive com a sua família em Ithaca, no estado de Nova Iorque, onde todas as semanas se delicia com comida francesa e batatas fritas.
