Boris Röhrl

Boris Röhrl nasceu em 1961. Trabalhou como tipógrafo e ilustrador para editoras da Alemanha Ocidental. A sua carreira académica começou tarde, com estudos de Literatura Alemã Moderna, Sociologia e História da Arte. Desde 1993 que integra o corpo docente da Universidade RheinMain, em Wiesbaden, perto de Frankfurt am Main. As suas obras principais são History and Bibliography of Artistic Anatomy (2000), World History of Realism in Visual Arts 1830-1990 (2013) e Kunsttheorie des Naturalismus und Realismus (Teoria da arte do naturalismo e do realismo) (2.ª ed., 2014). Desde 2016 que é o editor de uma pequena revista satírico-política.
