Biz Stone tornou-se um empresário da Internet em 1999. Trabalhou na Google, participou diretamente no desenvolvimento da comunicação através da blogosfera e fundou o Twitter, em parceria com Jack Dorsey, seu companheiro criativo. Antes de se tornar uma estrela da tecnologia, na época em que a Web dava os primeiros passos, Biz escreveu uma série de livros e artigos sobre os aspetos sociais da tecnologia. Hoje em dia, dá conferências em empresas e universidades com regularidade e recentemente criou um novo projeto, Jelly, do qual é fundador e diretor-geral. Em 2009 Biz Stone foi considerado GQ Nerd of the Year e uma das pessoas mais influentes do ano pela revista Time. Vive em São Francisco, na Califórnia, com a mulher e o filho.
