Bernard Pivot

Bernard Pivot formou-se em Jornalismo, depois de cursar um ano Direito. Em 1958, começou a trabalhar no suplemento literário do jornal Le Figaro. A partir daí, dedicaria toda a sua vida ao jornalismo literário. Fundou, em 1975, a revista Lire e em cuja direcção permaneceu até 1993. Mas não se limitou a ser um jornalista de imprensa. Durante trinta anos manteve programas televisivos no Canal France 2 sobre literatura: Ouvrez les Guillemets, Apostrophes, Bouillon de Culture. Tornou-se o pivô de cultura mais célebre da Europa e o jornalista mais popular e respeitado de França.
