Benjamim M'Bakassy nasceu em Luanda, no bairro do Maculusso em 1986.
É filho de pai nascido no Huambo, e xará do seu avô - seu xará chamava-se literalmente "Benjamim M'Bakassy".
A Mãe do Benjamim nasceu no Cubal, o seu bisavô materno é supostamente de Mirandela, a sua avó materna chamava-se Ana (sem sobrenome).
O seu livro "Eutópsia" venceu o prémio dstAngola/Camões 2021.
O livro, Coração de Algodão, é dedicado aos seus filhos, e à sua supermulher.
