Ben Shattuck é escritor, pintor e curador norte-americano, nascido em 1984 em Massachusetts. Filho de artistas, cresceu imerso no mundo das artes. Formou-se em Belas Artes, Inglês e Ornitologia pela Universidade Cornell e obteve um Mestrado pelo Iowa Writers' Workshop.
Ben recebeu o Prémio PEN/Robert J. Dau para escritores emergentes e o Pushcart Prize com o conto "The History of Sound", que está a ser adaptado para o cinema com realização de Oliver Hermanus. É curador da Dedee Shattuck Gallery e, em 2021, adquiriu, juntamente com o seu irmão, a Davoll's General Store, a loja histórica mais antiga dos Estados Unidos, fundada em 1793 na sua cidade natal.
