Beatriz Meireles

Beatriz Meireles nasceu em Paredes, a 30 de junho de 1985. Viveu alguns anos no Porto e uns meses em Lisboa, numa altura em que quis ser jornalista. É licenciada e mestre em Direito, tendo exercido a advocacia na terra que é mais sua, Paredes, apesar do amor que também tem por Penafiel, donde é oriunda a sua família materna. Atualmente, é Vereadora da Cultura na Câmara Municipal de Paredes, funções que lhe permitem coordenar a Revista Cultural – Orpheu Paredes e o Café Literário. Escreveu algumas crónicas e contos para jornais locais. Em 2019, publicou o primeiro livro "Depois da Morte (um amendoal em flor)" e, prosseguindo um caminho cujo fim desconhece, publicou, em 2020, o romance "O Visconde das Camélias Carmesins".
