Bárbara Wong é das jornalistas que melhor conhece a realidade educativa em Portugal. Após licenciar-se em Comunicação Social na Universidade Católica Portuguesa e um estágio na Rádio Renascença, Bárbara Wong entrou no jornal Público em 1997, onde agora é editora. Ao longo destes anos, o percurso jornalístico interligou-se com o mundo da educação, sendo o seu mérito reconhecido em 2005, quando foi distinguida com o prémio "A Família na Comunicação Social". Frequentemente convidada para conferências sobre Educação e Família, Bárbara Wong publica o primeiro livro em 2008 com A Escola Ideal: como escolher a escola do seu filho dos 0 aos 18 anos, a que se sucedeu A minha sala de aula é uma trincheira (2011) e, num registo diferente e direcionado para os alunos dos 9 aos 14 anos, a coleção Olimpvs.net (2012, coautoria). Bárbara Wong é também coautora do blogue Educar em português.
