Nascido no Brasil, em 1949, Aydano Roriz cresceu em Salvador, Bahia, onde estudou Ciências Económicas e ingressou na Editora Abril, a maior daquele País.
Em 1972 foi transferido para a sede da Abril em São Paulo. Trabalhou em revistas por mais de 30 anos. Lançou o seu primeiro romance no Brasil – Diamantes Não São Eternos – em 1998, publicado nos Estados Unidos, no ano seguinte, com o título Diamonds Are Forgiving. Em 2005, para melhor se dedicar à escrita, mudou-se para a Ilha da Madeira. Até 2014, publicou 8 livros em Brasileiro, 6 em Português e 5 em Inglês.
