Arvind Krishna Mehrotra

Arvind Krishna Mehrotra nasceu em Lahore, 1947. Publicou sete livros de poesia até hoje, sendo o último Selected poems and translations, The New York Review of Books, New York, 2020.
Como tradutor, publicou The absent traveller, um volume de poemas de amor em prácrito, e Songs of Kabir (Kabir foi um poeta e santo indiano do século XV).
Eunice de Souza, outra grande poeta indiana, incluiu-o em Talking poems: Conversations with poets. Vive em Dehradun e Allahabad. Sobre esta disse numa entrevista It’s a city to leave rather than a city to return to…, uma frase que o tradutor lhe tenciona roubar, mais cedo ou mais tarde.
