Artur Portela

Artur Portela nasceu em Lisboa, de uma família de escritores, pintores e jornalistas. Formou-se em História, vive no Monte Estoril. Começou a publicar em 1959, e é autor de uma vasta obra literária marcada pela crítica social de fundo político, e pelo pícaro que inclui crónica, antologias, textos de intervenção jornalística e romances. Na Dom Quixote publicou História Fantástica de António Portugal (2003) e As Noivas de São Bento (2004). Peixes Voadores, com ilustrações de LuiszDuran, é o seu mais recente livro.
