Artur Correia (1932-2018) nasceu em Lisboa. Diretor de arte e autor de histórias em BD, colaborou com diversas publicações para crianças e adolescentes, como Cavaleiro Andante, A Fagulha, Pisca-Pisca, Fungagá da Bicharada, entre outros.
Na Bertrand Editora, deu vida à história e literatura por meio de edições em banda desenhada inesquecíveis, como História Alegre de Portugal (2 vols.), Super Heróis da História de Portugal (2 vols.) e uma brilhante adaptação d’O Romance da Raposa, obra de Aquilino Ribeiro posteriormente convertida para animação no seu estúdio.
Em 1965, iniciou a sua carreira como diretor de animação, tendo conquistado mais de uma dezena de prémios nacionais e internacionais. O prémio no Festival de Cinema de Annecy teve um papel importante na fundação do seu próprio estúdio em 1973. A animação e a BD foram a sua paixão profissional até ao fim.
