Artur Agostinho
Artur Agostinho was born in Lisbon in 1920. At the age of 18 he was already a radio announcer at Rádio Luso. From then on he worked at various stations until his admission, in 1945, to Emissora Nacional with a particular connection to sports (football, roller hockey, cycling). He collaborated with the newspaper A Bola and was director of Record.
He was at RTP from its foundation until 1974 and exiled in Brazil until 1981. He participated as an actor in five films ("Capas Negras", "Leão da Estrela", "Sonhar é Fácil", "Encontro com a Vida", "Dois Dias no Paraíso" and "Tarzan do 5º Esquerdo".
He founded Sonarte Publicidade Ltda. in 1948.
Among other distinctions, he received the Medal of Good Services awarded by the State Secretariat of Sports and the Portuguese Skating Federation and the Career Award from the Portuguese Press Club.
More recently, he was part of the cast of television series.
He published the books Portuguese without Portugal, The Vultures and Beautiful,
Riquíssima and besides that… widow.
