Desde 1990 é Professor Catedrático na Universidade Lusíada, sendo, desde 2003, Vice Chanceler das Universidades Lusíada e Vice-Presidente do Conselho de Administração da Fundação Minerva, sua entidade instituidora. Coordenador Científico dos Congressos Nacionais de Direito do Trabalho desde 1997. Membro do Conselho Científico de várias revistas jurídicas. Presidente e Vogal de dois Conselhos Fiscais. Formador do CEJ. Grande Oficial da Ordem de Mérito Judiciário do Trabalho, Brasil, 2004.
