António da Costa Neves é natural de Grândola e reside em Almada. Licenciado em História, pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, as suas obras, maioritariamente publicadas pela editora Saída de Emergência, têm-lhe proporcionado diversos prémios literários. O romance Mea Culpa!, Prémio Paul Harris – 2007, e a novela Nem por Sonhos, Prémio Revelação Manuel Teixeira Gomes – 2006, foram selecionados, em 2010 e 2021, respetivamente, como obras de referência para o Concurso Nacional de Leitura do Ensino Secundário, e Adamastor, que conta a passagem de Camões pela Ilha de Moçambique, foi objeto de um seminário na Universidade de Coimbra e de uma conferência na Universidade Complutense de Madrid.
