António J. Ferreira nasceu em Chelas, Marvila, em agosto de 1975. Desde criança que a sua vontade era ingressar na GNR, sonho que conseguiu realizar em 1999. Começou por estagiar no Regimento de Cavalaria de Braço de Prata e exerceu funções na antiga Brigada nº 5, em Coimbra, no Comando Territorial da Guarda, no destacamento de Gouveia, no Posto Territorial de Seia e no Posto Territorial de Aguiar da Beira, ao qual pertence até hoje.
