Antonio García Teijeiro

Antonio García Teijeiro (Vigo, Pontevedra, Galiza, 1952) é um escritor galego que se dedica principalmente à literatura infantil.
É considerado um dos dois poetas mais importantes da literatura infantil em língua galega.
Publicou mais de três coletâneas de literatura infantil e juvenil e está presente em inúmeras antologias, tanto em galego, espanhol e catalão, na Espanha e na América Latina.
Dois dos seus poemas foram musicados por grupos galegos e por intérpretes renomados, como Antón Seoane e Paco Ibáñez.
Entre os prémios que recebeu, destacam-se o Prémio Merlin, o Prémio CCEI e o Prémio Europeu Pier Paolo Vergerio.
As suas obras figuram em diversas listas de prestígio (IBBY, revista CLIJ, Prémio Nacional de Literatura e "os melhores livros do século" da Fundação Germán Sánchez Ruipérez). Em 2017, a sua coletânea de poemas Poemar o Mar recebeu o Prémio Nacional de Literatura Infantil e Juvenil, concedido pelo Ministério da Cultura de Espanha.
