Em 1999, criou um laboratório orientado para a indústria com quatro outros investigadores (Eduardo Dias, José Miguel Remédio, Edmundo Nobre e Nuno Correia), que em Junho de 2000 se transformou numa empresa: a Ideias Interactivas. Em Janeiro de 2002, o nome passou a ser YDreams mas o espírito permaneceu o mesmo: criar produtos inovadores em computação móvel e invisível para o mercado global. A YDreams recebeu investimento da Espírito Santo Tech Ventures e da Herrick Partners em Janeiro de 2006, que lhe permitiu alargar a sua base comercial hoje ancorada em Lisboa, Barcelona, Xangai, Rio de Janeiro e Boulder (Colorado). As suas actividades têm sido tema de centenas de reportagens nos media nacionais e internacionais. A YDreams tem também recebido distinções e prémios de entidades como a Motorola, NOKIA e Business Week.
