Anthony Capella nasceu no Uganda, em 1962, e mora no Oxfordshire, em Inglaterra. Estudou em Oxford e licenciou-se em Literatura Inglesa. Para além de A Rainha dos Gelados, no catálogo da ASA estão já publicados os seus romances Receitas de Amor, Noivas de Guerra, ambos a serem adaptados para o cinema, e Os Vários Sabores da Vida. Os seus livros estão traduzidos para dezanove línguas. Para além de romances, escreve regularmente sobre gastronomia e viagens para o The Sunday Times.
