Anna Giurickovic Dato nasceu em Catânia (Sicília), em 1989, e vive em Roma. Em 2012, o seu conto Polimena, Polimena obteve o primeiro lugar no concurso Io, Massenzio no decorrer do Festival Internacional das Literaturas de Roma.
Em 2013, foi finalista do Prémio Chiara Giovani com o conto Ogni pezzo di sé. A Filha, selecionado para o Prémio Strega e muito aclamado pela crítica e pelos leitores, é o seu primeiro romance.
