Anke de Vries (Sellingen, Holanda, 1936): Desde que começou a sua trajetória como escritora, em 1972, já publicou mais de 80 livros infantis, pelos quais recebeu vários prémios. Entre eles, o Lápis de Prata (Prémio Nacional de Literatura Holandesa) e uma menção na Lista de Honra do Prémio Europeu de Literatura Juvenil. Viveu na Grécia, França e Paquistão, entre outros países.
