Natural de Cedofeita, Porto; Licenciado em Medicina pela Faculdade de Medicina do Porto, com estágios em Paris, Londres e Nova Iorque, e membro de Sociedades Científicas internacionais; Foi Assistente de Neurologia na FMP e Director do Serviço de Neurologia no IPO-Porto; Actualmente é Consultor Privado de Neurologia e Neuro-Oncologia, Neurologista da Casa de Saúde da Boavista e Director da Clínica de Memória Dr. Ângelo Soares, na cidade do Porto.
