Andrew O’Hagan nasceu em Glasgow em 1968. Os Nossos Avós, o seu romance de estreia, foi nomeado para o Booker Prize. O seu segundo romance, Personality, venceu o James Tait Black Memorial Prize for Fiction em 2003 e, no mesmo ano, a Granta nomeou-o um dos melhores jovens romancistas britânicos. Vive em Londres.
