Andreia Abreu é natural de Vila Nova de Famalicão. Ainda estudante, colaborou com o jornal Opinião Pública e com a rádio Digital FM. Em 2000 ingressou no Curso de Jornalismo e Ciências de Comunicação da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto. Estagiou na SIC e trabalhou na TVI e no Porto Canal. Desde 2015 exerce funções como Técnica Superior de Comunicação no Município de Amarante. Foi diretora-adjunta da revista de literatura infantojuvenil A Casa do João, desde o lançamento, em 2017 até 2023. No tempo livre, gosta de caminhar ao encontro das letras, onde, garante, se sente feliz! Publicou já "Os Dias da Maria" e "Contos a três".
