André Villela

André Villela nasceu em 1965, no Rio de Janeiro. É Bacharel (UFRJ, 1989) e Mestre (PUC-Rio, 1993) em Economia e Ph.D. em História Econômica pela Universidade de Londres (London School of Economics, 1999). Sua tese, intitulada "The Political Economy of Money and Banking in Imperial Brazil, 1850-70", recebeu o Prémio Haralambos Simeonides, conferido pela ANPEC, em 1999. Desde 2001 é Professor Assistente da EPGE/FGV, onde lecciona disciplinas na área de História Económica para alunos da Graduação.
