André Mendes

Nasceu na Covilhã em 1982.
Concluiu a licenciatura em Ciências do Desporto em 2008 e o mestrado Educação Física em 2012, ambos na Universidade da Beira Interior - UBI. Desde sempre se interessou pelo desporto, mais especificamente pelo futebol, sendo detentor do curso de treinador UEFA B.
Em simultâneo ao percurso académico, foi treinador de futebol de formação do Sporting Clube da Covilhã, colaborando também com os departamentos de prospeção e scouting, do SL Benfica e FC Porto respetivamente. Na época 2013/14 teve a sua primeira experiência no futebol sénior como treinador adjunto.
A realização de um estágio profissional com o atual selecionador nacional sub-19, Hélio Sousa, despertou-lhe ainda mais o gosto pelo "scouting", momento em que começou a investir mais nesta área. No âmbito do "scouting" colaborou ainda com alguns clubes da 2.ª liga portuguesa.
