André Filipe Gonçalves Pereira Abrantes Amaral nasceu em 1973, é casado e tem um filho. Estudou no Queen Elizabeth’s School, no Colégio Planalto e na Faculdade de Direito da Universidade Católica de Lisboa. É advogado desde 1999 e tem uma pós-graduação em Relações Internacionais, no Instituto de Estudos Políticos, da Universidade Católica. Foi comentador regular no canal Económico TV e de forma esporádica na TVI. As suas crónicas foram publicadas nos jornais i, Diário Económico e Jornal Económico. É colunista do jornal Observador.
