Ana Vicente

Ana Vicente was born in 1943. She graduated in Literature from the University of Lisbon. Among many other activities, she worked at the Commission for Equality and Women's Rights, a state department, of which she was also president (1992-1996). She is a member of several NGOs, including the international movement "We Are Church". She is the author of fifteen books (gender issues, history, biography, children's books), including a history of her family, Arcadia - News of an Anglo-Portuguese FamilyShe belongs to the fifth generation of women in her family who have dedicated themselves to writing. She is married, a mother of two children, and a grandmother of four grandchildren.
