Ana Isabel Silvestre nasceu em Lisboa, em 10 de junho de 1967. Em criança, costumava escrever pequenos livros que nunca terminava, mas que dava à família para ler. Viveu durante dois anos no Faial, onde trabalhou como jornalista no Correio da Horta. Foi, até janeiro de 2005, responsável pelo Departamento de Recursos Humanos do jornal O Independente. Publicou o primeiro romance em outubro de 2013, com o título de Eu sabia, estava escrito. Seguiram-se-lhe Água e Sal, Apaixona-me e Sinto-Te. Segunda-feira é o seu quinto livro. É casada, tem três filhos.
