Ana Manuel Mestre, nascida em Évora, neta e filha de agricultores, passou a maior parte da sua vida no campo e em contacto com a natureza, o que a levou a apaixonar-se pelo mundo das plantas. Com o mestrado em Arquitetura Paisagista, e com experiência em jardinagem, dá formação profissional e dinamiza workshops nesta área há cerca de dez anos. Foi formadora de jardinagem durante oito anos numa instituição de reabilitação de pessoas com problemas de saúde mental. Neste momento, trabalha como arquiteta paisagista, em gestão de espaços verdes.
