Ana Maria Ferreira Godinho nasceu no concelho de Oeiras, em março de 1948.
Em 1969, concluiu o Curso do Magistério Primário na "Escola do Magistério Primário Cardeal Gouveia", em Lourenço Marques, atualmente Maputo, Moçambique.
Licenciada em 1995, com o Curso de Estudos Superiores Especializados em Investigação em Educação, pela "Escola Superior de Educação João de Deus", em Lisboa.
O Magistério foi a sua carreira e é a sua paixão. Leciona a disciplina de Português na Universidade da Terceira Idade de Ferreira do Zêzere, desde 2009, e como aluna frequenta várias disciplinas.
Integrou a Comissão de Proteção de Crianças e Jovens em Risco - CPCJ - em Ferreira do Zêzere, entre 2007 e 2013.
Editou as obras "A gotinha de água" (2016) e "Ferreira do Zêzere inspira Alfredo Keil", publicando a sua mais recente obra "Cresce Comigo", pela chancela da Emporium Editora.
