Doutorada em Filologia Românica pela Universidade de Granada onde é professora de Língua e Cultura Portuguesas para estrangeiros e de Tradução. Desenvolve pesquisa nas áreas do Ensino do Português LE/L2 e da Fraseologia, sendo autora de várias publicações de caráter pedagógico e científico. Tem, ainda, participado em diferentes projetos de investigação e colabora atualmente na elaboração do Refranero Multilingüe do Centro Virtual Cervantes do Instituto Cervantes.
