Ana Cristina Silva nasceu em Lisboa e é professora universitária no ISPA – Instituto Universitário de Ciências Psicológicas, Sociais e da Vida na área de Aquisições Precoces da Linguagem Escrita, Ortografia e Produção Textual. Autora de 16 romances e de um livro de contos, foi três vezes finalista do Prémio Literário Fernando Namora (2011, 2012 e 2013), que venceu em 2017 com o romance A Noite Não é Eterna. Recebeu também o Prémio Literário Urbano Tavares Rodrigues pelo romance O Rei do Monte Brasil, em 2012.
Depois de Bela, biografia ficcionada de Florbela Espanca, e de À Procura da Manhã Clara, retrato ficcional de Annie Silva Pais, filha do último diretor da PIDE, publica agora El-Rei, Nosso Senhor, Sebastião José, o seu terceiro romance com chancela Bertrand Editora.
