Nasceu em Santarém em 1965. É licenciada em Gestão de Recursos Humanos e tem uma pós-graduação pelo ISCTE-IUL. Trabalhou na Câmara Municipal de Santarém até 2009, altura em que se reformar por invalidez devido a uma doença rara.
É autora dos livros A Menina dos Ossos de Cristal (incluído no Plano Nacional de Leitura), A Ilha e As Cartas que Trocamos.
Leciona a disciplina de Escrita Criativa na Universidade da Terceira Idade de Santarém (UTIS).
