Amélia Muge nasceu em 1952. É cantora e compositora, tendo vários discos editados e muitas canções escritas também para outros músicos. Ligada à música, teatro, dança, cinema de animação, ilustração, literatura e multimédia, recebeu o prémio da Academia Charles Cros, em França, pelo disco Ruelles. Personalidades como Hélia Correia têm escrito para composições suas. Sobre a Amélia escreveu Ramos Rosa: «Ela canta. Ela canta. É uma voz da terra, é uma voz das veias.»
