Alfredina Ribeiro Almeida

Alfredina Ribeiro nasceu na aldeia transmontana de Porrais, concelho de Murça, no ano de 1965. Após a morte do pai foi viver para Paris (França), onde concluiu o Ensino Básico. Aos 16 anos foi-lhe diagnosticada uma doença chamada Ataxia de Friedrich. Regressou a Portugal três anos depois, com algumas dificuldades no andar, pois é uma doença progressiva. Aos 27 anos, a progressão da doença atirou-a para uma cadeira de rodas e levou-a a escolher a Obra Social do Pousal para viver. Os Sete e a Cabana é para Alfredina a concretização de um sonho antigo, uma vez que ela escreve desde os 17 anos.
