Alexander H. Trechsel

Alexander H. Trechsel é Professor de Ciência Política e titular da cátedra suíça de Federalismo e Democracia no Instituto Universitário Europeu (IUE) em Florença, Itália.
Concluiu o doutoramento em Ciência Política (com distinção) na Universidade de Genebra (Suíça). Antes de vir para o EUI em 2005, era vice-director do Centro de Investigação e Documentação sobre Democracia Directa (c2d) na Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Genebra (1999-2005). O Prof. Trechsel deu início e coordena o European Union Democracy Observatory (EUDO) no Centro Robert Schuman de Estudos Avançados da EUI.
