Alessandro Piperno é professor de Literatura Francesa na Universidade de Roma «Tor Vergata». Publicou um ensaio intitulado Proust antiebreo. Com as Piores Intenções, o seu primeiro romance, foi muito aclamado pela crítica e tornou-se, em pouco tempo, um grande êxito de vendas em Itália e em vários outros países europeus.
