Aleksandra Marínina é formada em Direito e trabalhou durante mais de 20 anos como criminóloga. É autora de "O Dono da Cidade", "No Segredo dos Mortos"e "Sonho Roubado", publicados em Portugal pela Editorial Presença. Foi agraciada com o Prémio Escritora do Ano XI Moscow International Book Fair, em 1995, e é uma das escritoras com maior sucesso na Rússia.
