Alberto Gonçalves nasceu em Matosinhos, em 1969, e vive entre essa cidade e os confins do Nordeste Transmontano. Escreve em jornais há 24 anos, os últimos seis em exclusivo no Observador. Nenhum Turista Vai a Tucson é o seu sexto livro, após quatro de crónicas reunidas ("Selecção Nacional", de 2006; "Ninguém Diga Que Está Bem", de 2010; "A Ameaça Vermelha", de 2017; e "O Estado a Que Isto Chegou", de 2019) e um breve relato histórico ("Um Segredo Público – Os Judeus de Trás-os-Montes", de 2022). Ainda sonha ser camionista de longo curso na América, mas começa a suspeitar que se ficará pelo sonho.
