Albert Algoud nasceu em 1950. Ex-professor de Francês, ex-membro do grupo de intervenção cultural "Jalons", ex-colaborador das revistas L'Echo des Savannes e "Hara-Kiri", foi escritor de inúmeras bandas desenhadas, "tintinolatra", "tartarinófilo" (possui o maior acervo do mundo de cópias de Tartarin de Tarascon), partidário convicto de Léon Bloy e adepto obstinado de Proust. Publicou na Biblioteca Moulinsart, Tintinolâtrie, considerada por unanimidade pela imprensa como uma das obras mais originais e interessantes dedicadas a Hergé e às suas personagens. É também o autor do Dicionário Ilustrado de Insultos do Capitão Haddock.
