Akira Toriyama

Akira Toriyama (Nagoya, April 5, 1955 – March 1, 2024) was a Japanese manga author, known for creating series such as... Dragon Ball and Dr. Slump.
Recognized worldwide for its fun and innovative storytelling and humorous style. Akira emerged in manga in 1980 with the popular Dr. Slump, a fictional comedy about the adventures of a mad scientist and his android "daughter." Between 1984 (the year it was created) and 1995, Dragon Ball The series would be published in Shueisha's best-selling manga magazine: Weekly Shonen Jump, and subsequently translated worldwide. After that date, he also worked on some shorter series, including Cowa!, Kajika, Sand Landand Neko Majinjust like in the children's book, Toccio the AngelAkira Toriyama is also known for his design work in video games, especially in the series Dragon Warrior RPG.
