Aimée de Jongh (1988) fez a sua formação em animação pelas escolas de artes plásticas de Rotterdam e Ghent. Desde então, já escreveu mais de dez livros de Banda desenhada e trabalhou em cinco filmes de animação.
Em 2014, Aimée começou a trabalhar no seu primeiro romance gráfico, que ela também roteirizou: Le retour de la bondrée (título original: De terugkeer van de wespendief), que lhe rendeu o prestigioso Prémio Saint-Michel para o melhor livro de BD em 2014-2015. Em 2018, colaborou com Zidrou no roteiro e publicou um segundo romance gráfico, "A obsolescência programada dos nossos sentimentos". Com Dias de areia, lançado em 2020, foi aclamado pela crítica e venceu o Prix des Libraires de BD.
