Agostinho Soares nasceu em 1956, na ilha da Madeira.
Lançou, em 2011, na Editora O Liberal, O Destino das Vogais, coletânea das suas crónicas e artigos de opinião anteriormente publicados na imprensa madeirense.
Publicou, em 2013, no Createspace da Amazon.com, o livro de contos Não poderei morrer tranquilamente.
Publicou, em 2016, no Createspace da Amazon.com, o romance Diana é um verbo transitivo.
