Natural de Aguiar da Beira, reside em Vila Nova de Gaia desde 1996. Licenciou-se em Línguas e Literaturas Modernas pela Universidade de Coimbra e é mestre em Educação pela Universidade do Minho.
Professora no ensino básico e secundário, é também formadora de professores, tradutora e intérprete.
Nos tempos livres, dedica-se às viagens e à escrita, tendo já publicado diversos livros em géneros como o conto, a poesia, a literatura infantojuvenil e a escrita pedagógica.
Publica agora a obra Entre Fios e Sombras, com a Oficina da Escrita.
