Adriana Allegri é filha de imigrantes europeus que viveram na Europa antes, durante e depois da Segunda Guerra Mundial, e cresceu a ouvir histórias sobre como pequenos gestos de compaixão podem salvar vidas.
Ex-professora do ensino secundário e gestora de programas educativos, trabalhou também como redatora e gestora de projetos numa empresa líder em análise de dados.
Depois de quinze anos na área metropolitana de Nova Iorque, vive agora em Chandler, no Arizona, com os seus dois gatos. A Casa dos Girassóis é o seu romance de estreia.
